Vacation - Day 8!

Today is Nikki's 17th birthday, so she and Becky went on a shopping
spree (and didn't buy very much oddly enough). I, on the other hand,
spent another day at the con. Saturday is by far the worst possible day
to be there, but you do get to see a lot of B-List celebs who are out
signing autographs, promoting their latest movie or product. Last year,
we saw Luke Skywalker, Val Kilmer and Lou Ferrigno to name a few. The
pickins this year were pretty slim, but here's what I saw...
The Wayans Brothers were out at one of the trading card booths, signing cards from a game they created:

There were also some "famous" wrestlers in attendance. Earlier in the
week, we saw Virgil who is there all the time trying to find people
willing to buy his photos/autographs. Today, there were at least a few
interesting ones. First up...RVD:

I wasn't much interested in spending $20 for an autographed 8x10
glossy, but I stopped for a moment to take a photo. Next up was DDP:

He was only charging $10 to take your picture with him (or of course
$20 for an 8x10) but that was still a bit steep, so I listened to him go
on and on about his new Hollywood career for a couple of minutes,
snapped some photos and went on my way.
After that, I went by to see some comic book artists. David Mack was entertaining his female fans as always:

I stopped back by Ken's booth to pick up his latest book, Crowpsey, and this lady was there before me:

The conversation that I heard while waiting went like this:
Ken: "Since you bought that book, I'll draw you a free sketch if you'd like."
Lady: "Oh really, that would be great! How about a sketch of me...as a monkey?"
Ken: "Ummm...ok."
Lady: "Yeah, a monkey with a tail...and HORNS!"
Ken: "You, a monkey, a tail and horns?"
Lady: "Yeah, that would be AWESOME!"
To his credit, he gave that one a shot and she seemed pleased with the
results of her extremely odd request. I just stuck with a standard
sketch of his new character Crowpsey:

(Football included as usual.)
Then, after I paid, Ken said I had won a special free prize and broke
out some little bathroom type Dixie Cups and poured another round. It's
always interesting visiting Ken.
I also saw another Slave Girl Leia...this one was much less convincing
and much less willing to put up with the fanboy drool, but she
never-the-less turned a few heads:

Matt left the con early, but not before picking up his sweet Scott Morse painting:

At the end of the day, we knew all was well because Biker Scouts were on duty:

Tomorrow...ummm...yeah...more con. But it's the last day, I promise! If
I don't fall asleep, I'll post again in a bit with some of the other
sweet goodies I picked up today and prior days at the con.
